Brian Ashbaugh,
Co-founder & Executive Director
Brian serves as our director of ministry and content development with a focus on discipleship. His passion for ministry to believers who struggle with unwanted same-sex attraction stems from his own past experience in that painful space. Brian’s mission today is to help those who experience SSA find hope and freedom through loving discipleship and spiritual family. Brian and his wife Kim have three daughters and a son-in-law plus many unofficially “adopted” adult children they’ve come to love through church and ministry. Brian enjoys reading, hiking, and good conversation with family and friends.
Ben Miller,
Co-founder & Creative Director of Digital Content
Ben heads up our production of digital content and the True Union Podcast. He is passionate about bringing a greater understanding and awareness of the needs of the LGBTQ members in the body of Christ, and finds great joy in seeing everyone find their place among the family of believers. Ben is also the owner of Vantage Point Photo & Video, a wedding photography and videography business. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends, working out, and watching TV. He’s also the proud dad to Percie, a beautiful Himalayan cat.
Melody Infinger,
Ministry Coach & Special Projects Director
Melody serves True Union in several ways, including prayer and leadership support, women’s ministry coaching and development, and family education strategies. She feels called to remove shame associated with SSA and to help create a safe space for people to find the root behind their brokenness. Prior to joining True Union, Melody spent 5 years in the Air Force forecasting the weather and about 10 years in real estate. She is a motor car enthusiast and is planning her next sports car purchase – there is nothing like going for a drive in an epic car! She enjoys psychology, the outdoors, fashion, art, and listening prayer. She also plays a lot of instruments and absolutely loves to hangout with her closest friends.

Sheldon Farrington, President
Sheldon brings 8 years of experience in leadership roles in student development at Liberty University, and currently serves as the Director of Commuter Life in the Office of Student Life. In addition, He serves in Executive Leadership at Hill City Community Church, where he helps the church live out the Gospel through community and service. He is passionate about leadership, community development, and helping individuals navigate their faith and identity. Sheldon resides in Lynchburg, Virginia, and enjoys spending time connecting with others one-on-one.
Lee Steele, Treasurer
A ministry veteran of 24 years, Lee is passionate about missions, church planting, and discipleship. He currently serves as an Elder at Bedrock Church in Lynchburg, Va. Lee and his wife Julie have been married for 10 years and have 4 awesome kids. Lee enjoys music, reading, drinking London Fogs, and purposeful travel.
Josh Hartle, Secretary
Josh has a heart for discipleship, service, and equipping the local church to address the relevant issues of our age. He is currently the lead administrator for a growing counseling agency that aims to deliver clinically excellent and distinctly Christian counseling services to local communities. Josh and his wife Jessica have been married 5 years and have a son and a daughter. In his free time, Josh enjoys reading, movies, hanging out with friends, and trying out different restaurants.
